Here is a lamp with a shade made of thinly sliced petrified wood. This agatized wood is used in place of glass and situated among copper sculpture vine like branches. The base is a copper sculpture thick gnarled looking vine growing over and around whole petrified wood rocks twisting up to support the shade. This is a very natural and organic looking table lamp standing 32 inches tall and 19 inches wide and is illuminated with three spiral flourescent bulbs. I have found that these bulbs do not look to good in most stained glass lamps and tend to give a flat dull look but with petrified wood the rich brown earthy glow is wonderful.
