Located on the east wall in the sanctuary of Ascension Lutheran Church in Rochester MN. to the far right of the main sets of stained glass windows is this smaller lamb window. A lamb laying down and surrounded by springtime flowering tulips and daffodills here is symbolic of Jesus the sacrificial lamb dying for our sins and has risen from the dead victorious over sin and death. The gold yellow color of the daffodills is a resurrection color and the royal purple of the tulips is a sign of royalty alluding to Jesus, this lowly lamb, as also our King. A second meaning for this window reminds us that we are Jesus little lambs. He is our shepherd and we are His sheep. For a better view of this window simply click on the picture for enlargement.
