The inspiration for this window in the sanctuary of 1st Lutheran church of Pillager MN. comes from the first verse of Psalm 42. As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you O God. The scene is two deer at the waters edge getting a drink. There are waterlily pads and buds in the stream and a small chipmunk standing on a rock by the banks of the water. There is a n Oak tree arching over the landscape and a Downy Woodpecker, a Nuthatch and a pair of wrens are perched in this tree. The overall feel of this window is that of peace and rest having our thirsting for God quenched. A respite from the chaos of life.pillager-lutheran-deer-window-005pillager-lutheran-deer-window-009pillager-lutheran-deer-window-025 This window measures 20 inches wide and 60 inches tall and is the center window in a set of five windows with the potential of being a larger woodland and meadow scene.
